The Perfection of Wisdom (IV) (prajna-paramita in Mahayana)
The pursuit of nirvana in Mahayana Buddhism thus came to be understood as the pursuit of realizing for oneself the buddha-nature of all things: the essential unity and interdependence of all things, something one already is and is at-one with.
The goal is not outside or beyond oneself. One needs only to be disillusioned of one's illusory, egocentric, non-buddha self.
This is the perfection of wisdom (prajna-paramita).
