the Designer, Technical Director and theatre technology instructor
at Western Oregon University. He holds an M.F.A. in theatre with
an emphasis in design from the University of Georgia and a B.S.
in the Arts from Western Oregon State College (now WOU).
Mr. Grim has
designed for various theatres, including Pentacle Theatre in Salem
and the Highlands Playhouse in Highlands, North Carolina. He served
as Technical Director for the Jekylle Island Musical Comedy Festival
at Jykylle Island, Georgia, and has been the Designer, Technical
Director and theatre technology instructor at Mt. Hood Community
College for seven years. Some of the over 30 productions that Mr.
Grim has designed include Into the Woods, Noises Off, Much Ado
About Nothing, The Hostage, Agnes of God, Macbeth, A Funny Thing
Happened on the way to the Forum, Lost in Yonkers, Red Hot and Cole,
The Garden Party, The William Tell Tale, The Liar, You Cant
Take It With You, and Assassins.
Scott has taught
the use of computers in theatrical design for many years, including
a variety of college classes at MHCC and workshops at events such
as the North West Drama Conference. He uses computer technology
for scenic design, including drafting and three dimensional modeling
and rendering, as well as lighting and sound design.
Mr. Grims
course load at WOU includes Scenecraft, Lighting, Theatre Graphics
and Design, as well as design and construction of WOU theatre productions.
