 The Department of Theatre/Dance is one of three departments
within the Division of Creative Arts ~ Theatre/Dance, Music,
and Art. The Department of Theatre/Dance has a staff of eight,
including three full time and two part time faculty in Theatre
and three full time faculty in Dance.
he Theatre/Dance Department provides opportunities for student participation
in four main-stage productions per year, various student-directed
productions, children's theatre, a summer musical and a winter musical
every other year.
Rice Auditorium is the primary theatre building on campus. It seats
619 in the main auditorium and 52 in the studio theatre. The Leinwand
Outdoor Stage is available for summer events and children's shows.
Rice Auditorium also houses a scene shop, costume shop, lighting areas,
dressing rooms and make-up areas.
