Building a solid foundation through live performance
The Theatre/Dance Department provides opportunities for student participation in three mainstage theatre productions per year, one mainstage dance production, various studio and student-directed productions, a summer theatre production, and a musical every other year.
Rice Auditorium is the primary theatre building on campus. The auditorium It seats 619 in the main auditorium and 52 in the studio theatre. The Leinwand Outdoor Stage is available for summer events and children's shows. Rice Auditorium also houses a scene shop, costume shop, lighting areas, dressing rooms and make-up areas.
