Brian is currently enrolled in Western Oregon University pursuing a degree in music, as well as his love of Jazz. He is trained on Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bari saxophones.
Brian began studying the saxophone in 1998 and played sax in both jazz band vocal jazz ensembles and wind ensembles from middle school into college.
Private instructors include Clark Bondy, Tom Bergeron, Dave Evans, and Tim Jensen.
Influences include Grover Washington Jr., Charlie Parker, Sonny Stitt, Gerald Albright, and Sonny Rollins to name a few.
You can see Brian performing with the Western Hemisphere Jazz Orchestra, Western Hemisphere Combo, and with the Salem area Jazz Quinet, Bar 33.
