1. All university degrees require a minimum of 6 hours in courses designated as Writing Intensive.


2. The BS degree also requires 6 hours in courses designated as Diversity intensive. For Economics majors, these 6 hours can be from any courses identified with the D designation in the Catalog. Note that EC 202 is designated as a Diversity courses. Other Economics or Business courses approved for diversity are BA 284, BA 370, BA 392, BA 484, EC 436, and EC 440.


3. The BA degree also requires proficiency in a foreign language through the third term of the second year. Courses taken to fulfill this requirement can be used in a minor or as free electives.
