If you were selected for verification, and you filed a 2015 Federal Tax Return, but have been unable to request a IRS Tax Return Transcript from irs.gov/transcript, you can now submit a signed copy of your 2015 Federal Tax Return (examples: 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ).
On April 24, 2017, the US Department of Education announced they would allow financial aid offices the flexibility to accept: A signed copy of your 2015 Federal Tax Return OR A copy of your 2015 IRS Tax Return Transcript. Additionally, the Department of Education is no longer requiring us to request a Verification of Nonfiling Letter from the IRS.

If you have already requested a 2015 IRS Tax Return Transcript from irs.gov/transcript you can still turn this document in to complete Part II of the Verification requirement.

If you and/or your spouse/parent had an outstanding request for an IRS Letter of Non-Filing, this requirement has been removed from your account. Your signed Verification Worksheet now works as your statement of non-fling when this tax option is selected.
