Financial Aid Updates and Announcements
There will be no disbursements on Tuesday April 24th, 2026
- The 2026-2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the Oregon Student Aid Application (ORSSA) are both officially open! If you plan to attend college next year (Summer 2026 through Spring 2027). Please submit the 2026-2027 FAFSA or ORSAA as soon as possible. If you are unsure which one to submit you can use the FAFSA/ORSAA Pre-Filter Tool.
- FAFSA® Pro Tip: When listing colleges on your FAFSA®, make sure WOU (Federal School Code: 003209) is at the top — or at least in the top three — so your FAFSA® is sent to WOU for processing.
- We have begun loading 2026-2027 FAFSAs into our systems in anticipation of the new school year! To get an early start on paperwork requirements, please create your StudentForms account if you have not done so already.
- Continuing Students – you may have noticed some 2026-2027 awards showing in your Financial Aid Dashboard already. Please know that these awards and amounts may continue to fluctuate as we prepare to send out award offers. Official award notifications will be sent out starting in mid-April.
- Due to recent legislation there are updates and changes to Federal Financial Aid eligibility and processing for the 2026-2027 award year.
- WOU has partnered with ECMC Solutions to provide student loan counseling and support to borrowers as they navigate federal student loan repayment. Contact ECMC Solutions by phone at 1-877-331-3262, or visit their website to make an appointment, connect through email, or web chat with a student loan counselor. The team at ECMC also offers a free webinar series to support borrowers as they navigate repayment.
