Vicente Fox Event

The Latino community and WOU

Western Oregon University has increased its enrollment by thirty percent since 2006 because of its continued priority of providing all undergraduates with an education that is best described as affordable excellence. Small classes taught by faculty, rather than graduate students, innovative curriculum (such as bilingual teacher education and gerontology), and the Western Tuition Promise that freezes tuition levels for four years all provide students with the optimal educational experience.

WOU has long identified the importance of increasing the number of Latino students who successfully earn a bachelor's degree. WOU has become a national leader in effectively enrolling and graduating Latino students. This success has complemented the university's service to all other students and has resulted in a more dynamic, valuable, and inclusive education experience for all WOU students.
