REGISTRATION INFORMATION

REGISTRATION FORM Deadline: March 3, 2003

A printable version of the Registration Form is available on the website. Completed registration form and payment should be received by March 3, 2003. The Regional Resource Center on Deafness at Western Oregon University will send confirmation letters upon receipt of your registration information.

STIPEND REQUEST FORM Deadline: February 24, 2003

A printable version of the Stipend Request Form is available on the website.A limited number of stipends are available to cover a portion of the costs associated with the conference. If you are interested in applying for a stipend, complete the information below and submit a paragraph of not more than 250 words regarding your role and how the conference will be of benefit to you. Requests for stipends must be submitted by February 24, 2003. If you are chosen as a stipend recipient, you will be notified by e-mail by March 3, 2003.

LATE REGISTRATION

If you are registering for the conference after March 3, 2003, please call Becky Graber at 503-838-8444 (V/TTY) to confirm that space is still available.
 

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Conference registration fees will be refunded to persons who withdraw from this conference by notifying Becky Graber in writing at the Regional Resource Center on Deafness / Western Oregon University / 345 N. Monmouth Ave. / Monmouth OR 97361 on or before March 24, 2003.
 

CONFERENCE ACCESSIBILITY/ACCOMMODATIONS

Interpreters, realtime captioning, and assistive listening devices will be provided for all conference sessions. Please indicate accessibility/accommodation requests on your registration form (e.g., close vision interpreting, Braille). The deadline for requesting accommodations for conference sessions is March 17, 2003. Advance requests give us time to ensure that the appropriate services can be arranged.


Hotel Information and Transportation

Three luxurious hotels are providing special rates for this conference: the MarQueen Hotel (check out their webcam of the space needle!), the Inn at Queen Anne, and the WestCoast Grand on Fifth Ave. Room blocks will be held for the conference until March 3, 2003 and are limited, so make your reservations as soon as possible. Please make your hotel accessibility/accommodation requests (e.g., visual smoke alarms, TTYs) at the time you register. The deadline for requesting accommodations for your hotel room is March 17, 2003. Also within walking distance to the Seattle Center is the Hampton Inn.

Transportation to and from the airport, as well as links to maps of the Seattle Center and the downtown area can be found on the Hotel and Travel Information page. Information on the Monorail is located there, as well.
 

SPECIAL PROGRAM FEATURES

SPECIALTY WORKSHOPS

We are pleased to provide a combination of 3, 2 and 1 1/4 hour workshops giving you the opportunity for more in-depth coverage of topics, as well as adding a fourth strand, giving you more variety than ever! The strands are 1) Traditionally Underserved Special Populations; 2) Technology; 3) Postsecondary Issues; and 4) Transition into the Workplace.
 

OPENING RECEPTION

Build your resources and support network by joining us April 9 for food and no-host and a great opportunity to meet your counterparts in neighboring states!
 

CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS

Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf CMP and ACET continuing education units are pending through the Region X IEC, an approved RID CEU sponsor. In addition, Western Washington University will offer verification of attendance, which may be used to apply for Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and other program credits. Ask at the Conference Registration/Information Desk for more information.
 

EXHIBITORS

This conference will feature an Exhibition Hall focusing on technology and include demonstration areas within the Exhibit Hall for targeted, hands-on demonstration of technology exhibits. Additionally, a limited number of unattended tables will be available for job announcements, program brochures, and other advertising relevant to programs and services in the Western US.
