The Western Region Interpreter Education Center Annotated Bibliography Matrix is intended to assist you in finding appropriate source materials for your professional development and edification. Designed in an easy to discern table, the Western Region Interpreter Education Center Annotated Bibliography Matrix provides a snapshot of more than 35 DVDs, CDs or videos produced by U.S. Department/Rehabilitation Services Administration grant-funded educational institutions; highlighting such information as the material’s intended target audience, source language, register, linguistic features, suitable for consecutive or simultaneous practice, and pace, among many others features. 

Each media entry includes:

• an overview section that includes the Title, including a letter/number code which corresponds to the item number on the WRIEC Lending Library catalogue; the Actors who appear on camera and each person’s role; and an Overview of the content area;
• a section devoted to the linguistic and other performance characteristics of the entry; and
• a comments section which provides additional information such as the length of the materials, additional resources, segment titles or content areas and general observations about the media.

All media included in the Western Region Interpreter Education Center Mentorship Manual’s Annotated Bibliography Matrix is available through the Lending Library at the Western Region Interpreter Education Center at Western Oregon University. They are also available for purchase for a nominal fee through the National Clearinghouse for Rehabilitation Training Materials at Utah State University, and may also be available through the educational institution that developed the material.
