Dr. López-Cevallos is Assistant Professor of Community Health with the Division of Health and Physical Education. He was born in Quito-Ecuador where he has worked on integrated health development projects with indigenous and rural, suburban, and urban communities. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Health and a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Science from Oregon State University ; and a Master's degree in Public Health, and a Bachelor of Science in Optometry from University San Francisco de Quito. He works with the Latino community in Benton County , Ore., as research and evaluation consultant with the local health department. His research focuses on integrated approaches to community health and development, including community-based participatory research (CBPR). |
