Hank Bersani - Bio




     Hank has worked as an elementary school special class teacher, a high school Work-study coordinator, and an institution employee. He has been a principal investigator on a number of federally funded projects on the topics of augmentative communication, assistive technology, high school transition, and public policy in special education. His current focus is on the role of assistive technology and self- determination in changing the nature of services to people with severe disabilities. He is also a Research Assistant Professor at Oregon Health Sciences University where with the Oregon Institute on Disability and Development, and the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine.
