The WOU Faculty Technology Showcase is an event that provides faculty the opportunity to demonstrate the use of effective technologies.
2018 Faculty Showcase
Invitation from 2018
You are invited to attend our first WOU Faculty Technology Showcase on February 27th, 11:00-12:30. The event will be held in the WUC, Willamette Room.
The Faculty Technology Showcase will be an event that provides faculty the opportunity to demonstrate the technologies you use. It could be technologies used in face-to-face classrooms, online (either Moodle or non-Moodle related), in your research work, or anything fun and creative. It should be something that in your experience created a positive impact on students’ learning, improved efficiency in your own work, or provided some other positive outcome.
Call for presenters: The presentations will be organized in the form of lightning rounds. Each presenter has 5-10 minutes to show the technology you choose. For example, you may choose to use 5 minutes to demonstrate the technology or technique, and leave up to 5 minutes for questions.
Topics: We are open to any technology that you think worked for you! It does not have to be earthshaking or cutting edge. If it’s something that has helped you with teaching, research, become more organized or efficient, we’d love to hear!
If you are interested in presenting, or if you want to suggest a colleague, please email me to let me know.
