State University, Corvallis, OR, 2010-2013 (Doctoral Dissertation)
Directed study with homeless and 4-H youth using focus group methodology and qualitative
analysis using MAXQDA; received funding from HHS fellowship for dissertation

Research Assistant, Extension Family, Community & Health Department, Oregon State University,

Coordinated evaluation design, analysis, and reporting for the Oregon Parenting Education
Collaborative and Boomer/Babies Project; created surveys, organized and analyzed data; led
focus groups and site visits; conducted research, measurement analysis, and manuscript writing
on parenting skills

Rural Youth’s Transition to Adulthood Research Study, Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR,
2008-2009 (Master’s Thesis)
Designed study and collected data on rural young adults; used multi-method recruitment
strategies including site visits; analyzed data using SEM & path analysis in STATA & Mplus;
received funding from OSU Rural Studies Program, HDFS, & HHS

Employed multi-method evaluation skills: transcribed, created online survey, organized and
