Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Science in Art

 

Bachelor of Art/Science in Art  84 credits

Art major prerequisites for studio concentrations:
  • All 200 level studio courses require A 130 and either A 115 or A 116.
  • All 300 level studio sequences must be taken in numerical order and require the prerequisite ofone or two 200 level studio courses.
  • All 300 level studio courses require A 115, A 116, A 130; most require A 119.
  • All 400 level studio courses require a completed 300 level studio sequence in the concentration and must be taken in numerical order.

Students wishing to take sequences in Graphic Design, Interactive Media, Advanced Print Design, or Video & Animation must speak with an Art advisor.

300 or 400 level in Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, Printmaking or Sculpture. Students wishing to take upper division courses in Graphic Design, Interactive Media, Print Design, or Video & Animation must speak with an Art advisor.

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) degrees are liberal arts degree programs with a major in Art. Students who take the BA in Art complete 84 credit hours in foundation, studio, and art history courses in addition to the liberal arts core curriculum (LACC) and a minor in another academic discipline.

Writing Intensive – 6 credits
Second Language
