WOU Affordability Grant

WOU Affordability Grant FAQ’s

The WOU Affordability Grant supports low-income Oregon undergraduate student access and success by providing additional scholarship funds to offset the modest tuition increases planned for 2016-17. The goal of the grant is to help Oregon students start, continue or complete their WOU undergraduate degree.



  1. Oregon resident or participant in the Oregon Tuition Equity Program
  2. Current WOU undergraduates or new (freshmen and transfers) undergraduate students
  3. Completion of the 2016-17 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  4. Have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of zero for 2016-17
  5. Enrolled Full time
  6. Students must have selected the Traditional Plan option in the Tuition Choice (hyper link to Tuition Choice)


Award Amount

  • $225 distributed across Fall, Winter and Spring term ($75 each term)
  • Award applied as a tuition credit each term
  • Award will be listed as WOU Affordability Grant in the financial aid award letter
