Transfer Requirements

Transfer student admission requirements

  1. Students with 36 or more transferable, college-level quarter hour credits (24 semester hours) must have a cumulative 2.25 grade point average or higher in all college-level work attempted and be in good standing at all prior institutions attended. All students who graduated from high school 1997 or later are required to have two years of the same second or foreign language in high school, or two terms of the same second or foreign language in college. Transfer applicants are required to have a writing course beginning with Writing 121 (or the equivalent) with a grade of C- or better; and college algebra or above with a grade of C- or better, or the equivalent of Math 105.
  2. Students who have earned less than 36 transferable, college-level quarter hour credits must meet both freshman and transfer admission requirements. ACT or SAT Reasoning Exam scores are not required for transfer applicants with less than 36 transferable, college-level quarter hours who graduated prior to 2012 with a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.75 or higher.
  3. Transfer applicants who obtain an Oregon Transfer Module (OTM), Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer degree (AAOT), or Associate of Science Oregon Transfer Degree (ASOT) from an Oregon community college with at least a 2.00 GPA will be admitted.
  4. A transfer student who does not meet the regular admission requirements may be considered for admission by the Director of Admissions or the Comprehensive Admission Review Committee (Special Admissions).
