About Mark Weiss
Mr. Weiss joined Western Oregon University in 2005. His experience includes nine years as a senior manager and certified public accountant with the firm of KPMG Peat Marwick, in New York City and 17 years with the international firm of Siemens, in positions including senior vice president, administration and finance, and corporate director of Siemens Power Corporation. Mr. Weiss has been actively involved in community activities in Washington State, including serving on hospital, symphony, economic development and educational boards of directors.
This is Mr Weiss' first opportunity to serve in higher education and he is delighted to be a part of WOU. He received his bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s of business administration, with an emphasis in accounting, from Rutgers University in New Jersey.
