English Studies

English is another of WOU’s versatile and career-focused majors. If you are interested in languages, literature or writing, this is the program for you. You’ll learn about major literary works and various theories of criticism. Writing classes will help you refine your research and writing skills and become a pro at composition history and theory. Our linguistics classes allow you to develop an understanding of the nature, history and structure of language.
