Western Oregon University offers a number of criminal justice programs, both on-campus and online. Each program allows students to take courses in their preferred format - online, on-campus or a combination of both.
The WOU Criminal Justice program combines strong liberal arts curriculum with a rigorous set of core classes and specialized elective coursework in law enforcement, corrections and community crime prevention.

Career Opportunities
Degree requirements in the Criminal Justice industry vary by position, rank, location, and many other factors. Many positions require applicants to hold a BA/BS degree to be considered. Other positions that do not require a degree often have a financial incentive for degree-holders and/or an opportunity to advance more quickly.

Graduates of our programs may seek employment at the municipal, county, state or federal level in a variety of fields. Many graduates go on to work for private agencies.
